The recording was realized during the ride from Nowa Huta tram depot to the Museum of Municipal Engineering in Cracow in regular traffic.
The recorded vehicle is one of the first high-speed articulated trams operating in Cracow. It was manufactured in Konstal steel structures factory in Chorzów (Poland) in 1969. The 102N tram had the capacity of 182 passengers, including 32 seats. It was 19.3 meters long and 2.4 meters wide. Car body is fixed on two bogies (front and rear) and a Jacobs bogie (pivoting joint). Jacobs bogie was applied in order to reduce car’s length and for its better adjusting to curves.
The recorded vehicle was in operation in the years 1969–1997. At present it constitutes one of the exhibits of the Museum of Municipal Engineering in Cracow.
