NO. 226 is so similar in form and decoration to Balfour´s Plate I, fig. 14, that it was probably made at the same place; Balfour´s piece was collected by Lord Rennell of Rodd in 1922 from the Taureg of Agades, Air, but I am not sure whether the designs are Tuareg or whether it is likely to have been imported from the Hausa.
