The Inkisi valley runs into the Congo from the south, about 60 kilometres southwest of Leopoldville, apparently in the Bakongo country, though very close to the Bateke. Yidi, on the other hand, must be about 20-30 kilomteres west of Matadi. It seems highly improbable that two figures so closely similar (I do not remember any others quite like them) should be found so far apart. They appear more similar to Bateke than Bakongo style, but might be relafed to Babwende also. W.B.Fagg. 21.9.57.</pres:description><pres:content>1916.14.0148, T. Hammar , T.
