Women who by the imperial Japan were forced to offer sexual services to the

Japanese troops during the Asia/Pacific Wars between 1932 and 1945 were

referred to as “comfort women”. Between 50,000 to 200,000 women and young

girls were forced to this form of prostitution in the military. Most of the

women were detained and forcibly abducted to the brothels.</pres:content><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="sv">Tillverkad</pres:event><pres:nameLabel xml:lang="sv">Leidi, Bianca [författare], Palmgren, Christine [författare]</pres:nameLabel></pres:context><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-vkm/web/image/blob/2529530/Hung+Liu+ENG.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-vkm/web/image/zoom/2529531/Hung+Liu+ENG.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="highres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-vkm/web/image/blob/2529528/Hung+Liu+ENG.pdf</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by-nc-nd</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Leidi, Bianca, Palmgren, Christine</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:references><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-VKM/exhibition/105337</pres:reference><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-VKM/exhibitionpart/2524924</pres:reference><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/name/3248418</pres:reference><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/name/1543824</pres:reference></pres:references><pres:representations><pres:representation format="HTML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-VKM/arkiv/html/2529526</pres:representation><pres:representation format="XML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-VKM/arkiv/xml/2529526</pres:representation><pres:representation format="RDF">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-VKM/arkiv/rdf/2529526</pres:representation></pres:representations></pres:item>
