The lid has a vertical flange for keeping the lid in place. The crackled (celadon) glaze has an olive-green tinge. The scar of a silica chip can be seen on the interior of the lid, near the flange. This sherd is probably a kiln waster - a piece of ceramic that did not fire successfully. Sherds of this kind, which are usually found at kiln sites and the surrounding areas, are valuable for art historical and archaeological research. Sherds do not only reveal information about the production process, techniques and materials used and the types of ceramics produced at specific kiln sites, but they also serve as important indicators for tracing back ceramic objects to their sites of production. Hence, sherds help to date and to understand the historical, social and cultural contexts of ceramic objects., This group of sherds was accompanied by a paper note: "Skärvor av koreansk keramik gåva från Warfvinge och Bo Back[?]" (Korean sherds donated by Warfvinge and Bo Back(?)), 파편 破片, 뚜껑으로 짐작되는 이 파편 한 쪽에는 십자 모양 꼭지의 흔적이 남아 있고 (12호 참고), 흑상감한 무늬의 일부가 확인된다. 뚜껑 아랫면에는 단이 져 있어 몸체에 끼워 맞출 수 있었을 것으로 짐작된다. 기면은 빙렬이 있는 청자 유약을 입힌 표면은 황녹색을 띤다. 뚜껑의 단 안쪽으로 규석을 받쳐 구운 자국이 남아 있다. 이 파편은 폐기된 불량품 도자기의 일부로 추정된다. 이러한 종류의 파편은 주로 가마터나 그 주변부에서 발견되며 미술사적, 고고학적 연구를 위한 자료로써 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 파편을 통해 특정 가마에서 사용한 제작 기법과 재료, 생산한 도자기 종류를 알 수 있을 뿐 아니라 그를 바탕으로 유물의 산지(産地)를 추적할 수 있다. 더 나아가 제작연대를 추정하고 그 도자 유물이 사용된 역사적, 사회문화적 배경을 이해하는 것이 가능하다. , Goryeo dynasty (918–1392), 고려 시대 (918 – 1392), Celadon sherd with inlaid decoration, 이 파편과 함께 입수한 메모의 내용은 다음과 같다.
