The Marquis Kan is the brother of the Emperor Cheng, the second Emperor of the Chou Dynasty, (B.C. 1115-1078). The State of the Marquis Kan is now An Yang Asien. This group of ceremoniel weapons are undoubtedly the trophies of the Reign of the Marquis Kan. Besides the sword bearing inscription, there is a sword with the design of the figure Se (Ch'ih Yeo - B. C. 2697, inventor of war=like weapons and of the Art of Astrology). Another sword is in the form of a ecrescent; a spear with the Ox's head, and a spear with inlay of mother-of- pearl.
