Dear Sir, I beg to acknowledge, with thanks, the receipt of your letter informing me that Professor J.G.Andersson of the East Asiatic Collections in Stockholm has recently offered as a present to the Archaeological Institute of the Kyoto Imperial Uni- versity a collection of plaster casts of Swedish archaeological relics. The above-mentioned collection has to-day safely arrived here and we have at once started to make preparations for having the relics exhibited in the rooms of the Arechaeological Institute, where they will always be kept as material for scientific researches and at the same time constitute a monument of the great kindness of the Educational Authorities in Sweden.
