Dear Sir, I am direeted by the Academie Council, acting on behalf of the Senate, to renew the invitation to deliver in this University a Course of three Leetures on your discoveries in China. The fee offered for the Course is £30. If, as I hope will be the ease, you are able to aecede to this request and to render the University this important service, I should be glad if you would kindly suggest dates that will meet with your convenience. The dates for the University Terms for the Session 1928-29 are approximately as follows :- lst Term: e6th Oetober to l6th December 1928. 2nd Term: 1l2th January to 2lst March 1929. 3rd Term: 26th April to 28th June 1929. It would be a eonvenience to receive with your reply, or as soon as possible afterwards, a short syllabus of the Leetures for publieation in the University Gazette and elsewnhere.
