Furthermore as another project of a more specialized nature and lasting importance, the Society is planning $8 publish a commemoration compilation of writings on Japanese culture contributed by a limited number of eminent scholars and great interpreters of ag living abroad, among whose list your name cannot be ttea. We, therefore, most cordially request your valuable co- operation in the realization of this project by submitting a paper of about eight thousand woräs in either of the three languages, English, French, or German, on any subject of Japa- nese culture you may choose. As the collection will be pub- lished early next year, it is desired. that the manuseript be sent to the Society by the end of this year. Besides the publication of this commemoration compilation in the said three languages, the manuscripts will be translated and published for the Japanese readers.
