Dr. Wong Wen-hao, Parisa Dear Dr. Wong, Some days ago professor Hsu Hsi-ling of Koangtung provincial College of Arts and Science, now associated to the Unesco organization of the United Nations, visited profe or Karlgren, and I had the pleasure of meeting pro- fessor Esu at this occastion. He informed us that you are in Paris and gave us your address in that city. We are exceedingly happy to learn that you are in good health in Europe, and professor Karlgren joins me in presenting to you our heartiest good wishes for your prosperity and success. We deeply regret the loss of the Sinanthropus specimens at the out- breek of hostilities between Japan and U.S.A. Any information on the eir- cumstances of their disappearance would be most welcome. We are now trying to find out to what extent there are casts of all these originals in the PUMC in Peking, We have written to Dr. Pei asking him to inform us in this matter but were not certain as to his present whereabouts. Any information in these Sinanthropus matters would be very high- 1y appreciated. Professor Karlgren joins me in the kindest regards to you.
