Plimpton, Director September 22, 1949 Dear Dr, Karlgren: Thank you so much for letting me know that the affair of the catalogue has been successfully settled. Mr. Plimpton and I were very much con- cerned, but found it impossible to expedite the matter. MKr, Pillsbury has not been well and has found it difficult sometimes to put his mind on things. I hope soon to have some definite news for you regarding the actual publication of the cate- logue. In the meantime, both Mr. Plimpton and I feel that it would be quite proper for you to refer to it in your papers and to quote from it to a reasonable degree. We are all anxious to get the printing of the catalogue under way at the earliest possible moment, for every delay might gaite well mean that Mr. Pillsbury will not see the completed work. There is a possibility that two more bronzes may be added ta the collection. If so, may I send you photographs and the rubbings for com- ment?
