Dear Professor Karlgren, It was such a pleasure to hear from you again and your letter of January 27,arrived only a few days ago while I was out of town, For the jade fish that you have discovered belonging to us, may I give it, as a trifle gift, to your great Museum ? amd I hope it is quite acceptable to you « As for the photographs I have promised you, it is not because I have forgotten but we are so busy now and since your letter came, we are trying to find some and I think the best way will be to send you a few as soon as possible. What takes time, is to have to pho- tograph all the inscriptions and you know, we have so meny negatives awaiting printing. I am rather homesick for Sweden where I have so many good friends like you but it seems time is too short for me to travel very much when I am in France.
