Coedås and Mlle Oollani I was invited to return for the coming winter for continued studies in Tonkin. All the preparations were made and I was to leave Marseille with "Oap Tourane" the 22nd of September. - Alas, the outbreak of the new great war has upset all my plans so that I have to postpone my departure until the situation has been cleared. In the meantime a distinguished Swedish lady, Mise Rut Nathorst, 1s leaving in some few days travelling via Siberia with Haiphong as her distant destination. Miss Nathorst who is the daughter of a very famous geologist, once my teacher, has a most distinguished record as a Swedish missionary, working for many years in Changsha, the capital of Hunan. She is now going to Tonkin in order to proceed to Ylnnanfu. When arriving in Haiphong she may need some help and advice.
