My defence propaganda is MN nearly completed, in fact I have not more than two lectures to deliver, one at the end of May and the other in the second part of June, We now have a feeling of relåbive relief, thinking that France and Creat Britain will eventually be able to check the agressiv tendency of Germany and Italy. At any rate I now feel it possible to think of a new season of field work which will be my last one in the Far East. I have written to M. Coedås asking whether he would kindly be willing to accept me as your col- laborator for field work in French Indo-China during the winter season 1939- 1940. It goes without saying that I will pay all our expenses for our field work, at the same time leaving to you to suggest where we are gölng to exca- vate. Please kindly write me by return of airmail whether you kindly accept my cooperation as I plan to leave Europe with a French steamer some time in the early part of August.0006 Our research commitee under the presidency of our Crown Prince has conferred upon you our medal in silver in recognition of the excellent cooperation and generosity shown by you to me during my stay in Tonkin. The same medal in gold has been conferred upon M. Coedås, Both the medals and the diplomas have been packed in a small wooden box which will be sent under the address of M. Coedås who will certainly present to you the medal and di- ploma intended for you. I am now busy selecting the duplic&te set from our collections which will be presented for you in exchange for the very valuable material which you kindly gave to us.
