Professor Li Oh1i, e/o Chinese Embassy, Portland Place, London, Dear Professor Li, I have just learned from H.R.H. the Crown Prince that you are to arrive in Furdpe very soon and that he has spoken to the Chinese Minister here in Stockholm about our hearty wish that you vould come to Stockholm for some days and look at our collections and give a lecture on the excavations at Anyang which you conduot with so brilliant results. I need not say that I join with the Crown Prince in the hoves that you may find it worth while to visit us. I am going to England myself on March 13th and from there to Paris and I shall not be back in Stockholm before April 6th or 8th. So, since 1t should have to be myself who arranged for your lecture here, I would suggest that you come to Sweden any time between April l0th and May lst, 1f that could suit you. I am in Gothenburg Thirsday — Saturday every week and in Stockholm Monday - Wednesfday (Andersson 18 in China, and I am in charge of his museum during his absence). 1f you could pass through Gothenburg on your way to Stockholm, I should be very glad to have you for dinner together with some interesting friends0364 6 and to arrange eo that you could see Hellström”s fine collection of early Chinese Art. Here in Stockholm your lecture, if you were kind enough to give us one, would preferably not be a quite popular one to a large and ignorant public but rather a more archaeological one to a smaller group (say 50-70 persons) of more select and initiated people headed by the Orown Prince and several noted collectors.
