From your insurance figure I gather that the mirror was worth much more then what we could expect to get as a compensation for the shortcomings of the dragon, and so I shall consider it as being, besides a full settling of that matter, also end mainly a valuable and amiable gift from you to our museum, and I shall therefore put a label on it with an in- seription to that effect. Also, when I write an article in our Bulletin about some Chin tsun bronzes, I shall seize the occasion to mention that this mirror now belongs to the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities as a gift from you. Have you seen Umehara”s Chin tsun album? The photographs are good, but otnerwise I find it quite poor. Many of the objects haveg been published sever al tines before, but other objects well known to have come from Chin tsun are not incorporated.I suppose you have still in your possession the small inlaid Hu flask which you kindly lent us for examination (the one which had been slightly pressed into an oval shape) .It has an interesting decor, and I shall publish it mentioning pou as the owner, unless you tell me that it has been sold,The two marvellous finial heads of dragons you have sold to David Weillgd, I believe? As to the "loom" $t I think, after all, that I had better not write about it at all.It night make it more difficult to sell, and I do not wish in the elightest degree to do anything to that effect. After all, the piece is extremely beuutiful, and it is the business of a future owner to examine its composition more closely.I can easily pass it over in silence. With renewd thanks and kind regards Yours sincerely</pres:description><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="sv">Tillverkad</pres:event><pres:timeLabel>1938</pres:timeLabel></pres:context><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-om/web/image/tn/10239240/E1A-17_0168.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-om/web/image/zoom/10239239/E1A-17_0168.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by-nc-nd</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Östasiatiska museet</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:references><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-OM/arkiv/204096</pres:reference></pres:references><pres:representations><pres:representation format="HTML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-OM/arkivdokument/html/512554</pres:representation><pres:representation format="XML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-OM/arkivdokument/xml/512554</pres:representation><pres:representation format="RDF">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-OM/arkivdokument/rdf/512554</pres:representation></pres:representations></pres:item>
