Your worde of appreciation of my bronze researches made me glad. I hope to continue my investigations — so far, after all, only the great lineg of evolution have been roughly established, and there is enormously much to be done. As to the exchange material, which we receive from you, please let me assure you, that my laet letter on the subject was not meant to be complaint but only an inquiring whether, perhaps, your Museum had some publication of which I was not aware and which would be valuable for us to have. But I am perfectly satisfied with and grateful for your kind sendings of photographs — the fine specimens you sent me for my first bronze book were of great value and impor- tance to me. At present I am particularly interested in mirrors and Huai and Han bronzes, big and small (belt hooks ete.). It will always be a great pleasure to us to continue sending our publication to you.
