You w411l here find enclosed the invoice and insurance pol 1cy. I wish to emphaeize that cortrary to the opinion (åg the Crom- prince I do not consider this bronze to be whet we call a fake, but I em willing to concede that the epecimen has been tempered with and that 1t 18 eomposed of several indevendent pieces, Irrespective of the true nature of thte disputad srecimen it would not be favomble to you nor to this museum to keen it exkibi- ted here as 1t would always in Sweden remsin "the bronze Aiscarded by the Crowprince." Consequently I have returned it and feel con- vinced that this action is fully approved by you. I hope that you heve been so kind to ship to us the big bronze drum as I asked you to do in my letter of June 22. If you have some food srecimen which in price corresponds to the sum remaining after the drum has been psid, please send it to me. There ray be a further årop of the valve of the dollar so it is better to settle this business without too much delay. BIF5aDear lir.
