Aaong the three points which you have sucgested for carrying on the scientific study and publication of your and Dr. Hedia's material, I agree with you in adopting the third and the last one. That is to say I agree to the proposal that on the one hand you should help hia to get the Swedish Governaent grant and on the other we shall carry on our work as before, I an now very esger to know whether or not Dr, Hedin's petition has been duly approved by the swedish Government and the Parlianent. As regards the palaeontological and archasological papers on the material collected through your help, 1 still hope to see them all published in the Palseontologia Sinica according to the original agree- ment, But I don't quite agree with you in the idea that in the future you shell have all your papers printed in Sweden, For many reasons, I should like to insist that they should be printed in China except in a few rare cases which can be decidej between us.
