You are certainly quite right in explalining how the damage was done to the Ko-handle (No. 159). Tha thing is rather pitiful because we considered this as one of our unique specimens which I brought personally to London, most carefully packed in a special box. The specimen was perfsctly intact when I delivered it to you and it ie now so nagged at the mouth that a visitor the other day expressed his belief that it had been much longer. Considering the rather unparionable way how the damage was engineeraed I am afraid that you have to accept the damage of 100 L mentioned by me to Sir Percival or otherwise drop the matter. I want you to eall your attention to the dact that I presented no claim and made no complaint to you until Sir Percival asked me to do so.
