The pediment is crowned by three akroteria. A bull is depicted in relief. The body of the bull is seen from the side with the tail following the curvature of the back of the animal. The bull’s head is en face with two horns and one ear visible. The outer legs are nicely sculptured in relief while the inner legs are vaguer in contour. The two hind legs are slightly bent and the front legs are straight giving the impression of a bull in motion of turning towards the viewer.MM 2014:004, Donated by Dorin Dent in 2010. Purchased in Izmir, Turkey around 1960. , Greek inscription indicates that the bull is an offering to Zeus. The size of the greek letters 1-1.2 cm. , A small dent on the right hand side middle section. Part of the marble has a greenish patina, almost as if the surface partially has been exposed to bronze or a similar material.
