Decor: on one face of blade a bearded figure with round cap, knee length kilt, holding long stick, spear head at end? Head in profile both feet face same way, one hand to hip. In another note Arne writes a brief description of how the entire collection was acquired stating there that the numbers 19666, 19818, 21446, 21455, 21456 and 21946 were bought on the European art market., Axe shape is okay but is the decor fake?, Light green around decor of blade, dark brown shaft surface., 991012, Dnr. 819-4201-1998: Yxorna 425 och 426 är lätt smutsiga/jordiga. I ornamentik och gropar finns en ljust grön, något poröskorrosion. Åtgärd: Rengjordes mekaniskt med skalpell och bambusticka samt tvättades med etanol. De ytbehandlades med Paraloid B 72 10% etanol och 1% aciton. Färgdia efter konservering, H of shaft. 6.2 cm, L. 12.2 cm, Upper Ø 1.7 cm, Lower Ø 1.6 cm., Cf/excavation: Vanden Berghe 1968d p. 58 top, top 3 and center bottom, shape similar but bold moulding at top, no decor.
