Low wide mouth bowl, with repousee almond shaped bosses (gadroons?) hammered out from inside below flaring slightly everted rim, and band with uneven surface below. Body tapers to small round walled foot, flat base perforated with many holes punched from inside for sieve.SHM 20563 MMLur 357, Bought from Persiska kompaniet, 1934, Dark green on medium green surface. Intact., Cleaning and conservation report. D-nr 16455013, 950108. General condition and corrosion. Object is dirty with dust, hard calcareous deposits from soil. Object is slightly deformed, cracked. Corrosion is stable, uneven, dark to medium dark green, hard. Surface corrosion is chipping off in places due to the mechanical deformation of the sieve, revealing dark brown Copper O layer. There are large fatty spots of the inside surface. Conservation treatment: Object is cleaned mechanically with scalpel, small soft rotating bristle and steel brushes, under the magnification. Fatty spots are removed with cotton swabs soaked in acetone.
