See MMLur 35. Long narrow tang, rectangular in section, one rivet hole, widens slightly near blade. Sharp straight shoulders. Triangular blade, slightly convex sides round out near point somewhat. Sharp point. Broad, flat midrib, rectangular in section.</pres:description><pres:content xml:lang="en">SHM 20563 MMLur 043, Bought by Prof. Ture Arne in Iran in 1932, 42 same ZnPbAg-workshop?, Intact, slightly jagged edges. Rusty beige on pale green surface., Cleaning and conservation report. D-nr 16455013. 950108. General condition and corrosion: surface is dirty with crust of white/grey cement - hard deposit from soil. Surface corrosion - medium dark green, slightly grainy. Object. has spots of active corrosion - bronze disease. Object. has been drilled to take sample for metallographic analysis. Conservation treatment: cleaned mechanically with scalpel, small soft rotating bristle and steel brushes, under magnification. Stabilised in 3 % benzotriazole solution in ethanol for 48 hours.
