A huge retaining wall at the base of the slope existed in the final phase. Mass burials were excavated in a cemetery off the mound in shaft graves. The remains of wooden beds on which the deceased lay as well as pottery vessels containing food and drink have been found next to several of the bodies. The city was destroyed, probably about the end of the Middle Bronze Age (1550 BC)., Jericho H.11.26., Tomb HII, Faience., Främre Orienten, Palestine, Främre Orienten - Showcase 09:01., Jeriko, Israel</pres:content><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="en">Insamlad</pres:event><pres:nameLabel xml:lang="en">Kenyon, Kathleen</pres:nameLabel></pres:context><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="en">Brukad</pres:event><pres:timeLabel xml:lang="en">Middle Bronze Age (c.1900-1550 BC)</pres:timeLabel></pres:context><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="en">Funnen</pres:event><pres:placeLabel xml:lang="en">Asien, Palestina (stat), Jericho</pres:placeLabel></pres:context><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-mhm/web/image/tn/3632368/representation</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-mhm/web/image/zoom/3632367/representation</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="en">Kaneberg, Ove</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="en">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:references><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-MM/Photograph/3921343</pres:reference><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-MM/exhibition/3953894</pres:reference><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-MM/exhibitionpart/3953898</pres:reference></pres:references><pres:representations><pres:representation format="HTML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-MM/objekt/html/3400041</pres:representation><pres:representation format="XML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-MM/objekt/xml/3400041</pres:representation><pres:representation format="RDF">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-MM/objekt/rdf/3400041</pres:representation></pres:representations></pres:item>
