In the publication by H. Steible, about 47 other clay cones and 7 bricks with the same text are given, two, possibly seven, of these clay cones are known to have been excavated in the city Girsu (Modern Tello), but one is recorded as being from Uruk. All the others are without recorded provenance. The inscription deals with the construction by Shulgi, king of Ur, of the temple for the goddess Nanshe in the city Girsu. The temple was called Esheshsheshegarra. All these clay cones were probably once placed in the walls of this temple. Translation: “For the goddess Nanshe, the lady of the delimited area, his lady, Shulgi, the strong man, king of Ur, built her Esheshsheshegarra.”</pres:description><pres:content xml:lang="en">MM Acc 0997, Tip of the cone broken away., Preserved length 9.3 cm (originally perhaps ca 13cm), max. diameter 7.1 cm., Steible 1991: 2, pp.174-177., Pedersén 1991-1992 pp. 9-10 fig. 5a-c., Främre Orienten, Iraq, Främre Orienten - Showcase 09:01., Pedersén, Olof (1992) "Ancient Near Eastern Objects with Cuneiform Inscriptions: Part I.
