Sharp rim. Two small knobs on rim opposite each other. High, vertical strap handle. Outside decoration; Band of plaited, hatched triangles encircling rim. Chequers, crossed zigzags and a central band of hatched triangles on bottom. Inside covered with red paint. Buff slip. Thick, burnished reddish brown paint.MM 1994:009, Formerly Ahlstrand Collection. Private collection aquired from Cyprus Museum, Nicosia, in 1953, and from art dealer P. Kolokassides, Nicosia, in the 1950’s. The collection was aquired by Medelhavsmuseet in 1994., According to an unpublished article by Marie-Louise Winbladh, this bowl is probably from the North coast or possibly from the centre of the island. Examined by Barbro Johansson, PhD, Göteborg, 2004-10-25., Very brittle. Partly decayed.
