Flattened breast. Horizontal shoulders. Concave neck. Round head. Chin with short, rounded beard. Incised mouth with roughly modelled lips. Thin, concave prominent nose without nostrils. Slightly prominent eyes with raised brows. Very sloping forehead. Plain ears. Both arms bent over breast holdning now missing quadruped. Helmet with up-turned cheek-pieces and a strap on back of head. Faint traces of black border at base, black lines along sides of body, chequered band round neck and on strap. Buff clay, well preserved light slip.A.I. 1538, SCE 1929-1930., According to SCE the statuette is holding a quadruped, and has hands with fingers. Sample taken by Gloria Ikosi 1992-03-14. Face.
