Thin face with marked cheek-bones and hollowed cheeks. Wrinkled forehead. Deep-set eyes with pupils in the form of spherical depressions, slightly cut off by the thin, lower eyelids. Heavy upper eyelids. Deeply drilled holes by the tear-canals. Mouth with thin lips and drooping corners framed by moustache and beard. Hair, executed with very short cuts and strokes, is rendered in a straight edge across the forehead with deep inlets at the temples, continuing in in side-burns and beard. Side-burns, beard and moustache executed with longer and deeper cuts than the hair. Back more roughly cut.
