Antonsson at Daneu & Co., Palermo, 1937., An aryballos (pl. aryballoi) is typically a small globular or ovoid vessel with a narrow neck and a characteristically broad and flat lip, to prevent spillage. They were used to contain oil or perfume and are often depicted being used by athletes in vase paintings.
