(generalkatalogen)</pres:description><pres:content>This concave dish is raised on a polygonal, hollow pedestal. The rim of the dish extends outward and has a rolled edge. The dish and pedestal were potted separately and luted together. The greyish-blue tinged glaze is irregular and has bubble bursts. Coarse grit that served as support during firing adheres to the footrim. A ring of the same grit can be seen on the interior of the dish, which infers that this raised dish was fired in stack, one dish placed on top of the other. The shape of the dish is slightly warped. During ancestral ceremonies, offerings of traditional foodstuffs such as rice cake would have been neatly stacked onto the dish.

The origin of ancestral rituals in Korea that are still performed in the same manner today can be traced back to the Joseon Dynasty when the society and its culture were structured according to Neo-Confucian ideology. The foremost concept of Neo-Confucian is that a successful governance of a nation is based on good governance of a family in which ‘filial piety (Korean: hyo)' is considered to be the principal virtue. People expressed their respect for the living older generation of one’s family but also for their ancestors, especially by means of offering regular rituals. The Joseon Dynasty published Gukjooryeui, Book on Five Major State Rites (1474), and set the standards for holding ancestral rituals mainly for the four previous generations on the anniversary of the death at one’s shrine as well as in March, October at the ancestors’ graves, the first day of the year, the 105th day after the winter solstice, the fifth day of the fifth month of the year and 15th of August according to the Korean lunar calendar. Descendants who attend a ritual prepare themselves by purifying themselves physically and mentally the day before and arrange food and rice wine after midnight. Different types of foods are positioned in a specific way: Fishes, pickled (wet) fish, jujubes, red fruits, raw vegetables, rice cake, and soup on the east side and meats, dried meat, chestnut, white fruits, cooked vegetables, noodle and rice on the west side, especially heads of fishes on the east and tales on the west side. Attendees receive the ancestors’ spirits by burning incense and by pouring rice wine into a bowl containing sand and then offer the wine for the spirits three times with a prayer. After everyone leaves the room for a moment for the spirits to enjoy the offerings the attendees would finish the rite by burning the prayer paper and by sharing the offerings together., ceramics, diameter foot: 9 cm, 국립중앙박물관. e뮤지엄. 2018. 참여하는 모든 사람이 문을 닫고 나와 조상님이 음식을 흠향할 수 있도록 잠시 기다린 후 다시 들어가 나머지 절차를 끝내고 지방(紙榜)과 축문을 불사른 뒤 제사에 올린 음식과 술을 함께 나누어 먹는다., 백자 제기 접시 白磁 祭器 楪匙, 구연과 몸체의 일부(약 7,5 cm)가 결실되었다.</pres:content><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="sv">Insamlad</pres:event><pres:nameLabel xml:lang="sv">Bergman, Sten</pres:nameLabel></pres:context><pres:context><pres:event xml:lang="sv">Ursprung</pres:event><pres:placeLabel xml:lang="sv">Asien, Sydkorea, Nordkorea</pres:placeLabel></pres:context><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/tn/4537138/1295556_066.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/zoom/4537137/1295556_066.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Jeppsson, Johan</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/tn/4537143/1295556_067.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/zoom/4537142/1295556_067.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Jeppsson, Johan</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/tn/4537148/1295556_068.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/zoom/4537147/1295556_068.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Jeppsson, Johan</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/tn/4537153/1295556_069.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/zoom/4537152/1295556_069.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Jeppsson, Johan</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/tn/4537158/1295556_070.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/zoom/4537157/1295556_070.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Jeppsson, Johan</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:image><pres:mediaType>image/jpeg</pres:mediaType><pres:src type="thumbnail">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/tn/4537163/1295556_071.jpg</pres:src><pres:src type="lowres">https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-em/web/image/zoom/4537162/1295556_071.jpg</pres:src><pres:mediaLicense>http://kulturarvsdata.se/resurser/License#by</pres:mediaLicense><pres:byline xml:lang="sv">Jeppsson, Johan</pres:byline><pres:copyright xml:lang="sv">Statens museer för världskultur</pres:copyright></pres:image><pres:references><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/samling/1005071</pres:reference><pres:reference>https://kulturnav.org/7f46ffe7-e975-4b2b-8bf8-9d1dacdfaa36</pres:reference><pres:reference>http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/name/1014873</pres:reference></pres:references><pres:representations><pres:representation format="HTML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/objekt/html/1295556</pres:representation><pres:representation format="XML">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/objekt/xml/1295556</pres:representation><pres:representation format="RDF">http://kulturarvsdata.se/SMVK-EM/objekt/rdf/1295556</pres:representation></pres:representations></pres:item>
