Name and identification of character
The queen of cobras, naga kumari (Sin.).

Context
A cobra demon character in stage two in a Kolam performance.

Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).

Iconography
A beautifully rendered naturalistic face of a lady belonging to the cobra maiden group. It has as its superstructure a fairly broad and expanded cobra hood. The face has a polished and smooth texture. The ears are elongated with earrings, todu (Sin.), attached to them.
