The identification of the mask as depicting a cobra maiden is incorrect.

Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).

Iconography
The imposing head-dress is composed of a wide cobra hood over-shadowing three smaller cobra hoods rising from the forehead band. The face has a dark yellow colour. Paint has been erased in some places. The ventral of the middle cobra is decorated with the usual line and geometric designs. Two circular earrings hang from slightly curved earlobes.
