Name and identification of character
A female attendant of the royal palace, parivara striyak or paricarikavak (Sin.).

Context
A character participating in the procession of the royal party, which is part of the story portion in the Kolam performance.

Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).

Iconography
The mask is of a smaller type. The face is yellowish green and represents a comely maiden. The head-gear is a visible representation of the social status and the social function of the character. Unlike in the masks of princesses, the forehead band is not gorgeously decorated. The band is broad and divided into two parts by means of a semi-circular line drawn in red. It extends downwards behind the ears. At the ends are two small flower patterned discs. The hair on the head is painted in black and ends in two curly tresses. The mouth is small and closed.
