Name and identification of character
A forest-dwelling hunter, Vädda (Sin.), or a Sanni demon called Vädi Sanniya (Sin.).

Context
The same mask is employed to represent both the Vädda and the Sanni demon. 

Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).

Iconography
The texture of the mask is not smooth. The face is painted in black and blue. The eyebrows are semi-circular in shape and painted black with thin red borders. A broad nose and protruding eyes. The mouth is large, extending from one cheek to the other. The teeth are painted in white patches. Peep slits are cut underneath the eyes. There are deep furrows on the forehead and above the mouth.
