Name and identification of character
Kolam mask depicting a young village boy, gama malli (Sin.). A mask of the small variety, referred to as käta muna, käta munu, or käta muhunak (Sin.), used to represent stock type characters.

Material
Wood, vel-kaduru (Sin.) (Nux vomica).

Iconography
A round face in greyish yellow. The hair on the head hangs down in curls. The eyes are sulky, with eyebrows painted in thick black lines. A small nose. The mouth is closed. The ears are separately fitted and are big in proportion to the rest of the mask.
