The mask represents a princess, kumarikava (Sin.).

Wood, Vel-kaduru (Nux vomica).

Iconography
The half-crown, baga otunna (Sin.), is not detachable. It is an open crown with eleven spires. It is sculpted in the round and decorated with the typical Kandyan art designs. 

Comments on the Umlauff Catalogue
The identification of the character as Manimäl Devi (Queen of King Manimäl) is incorrect.
