Amitayus med två armar, två ben och ett huvud, krönt med en femuddig krona. Han har örhängen med utslagna lotusblommor och halssmycke. Håret är uppsatt i ushnisha. āsana: Amitayus är avbildad i meditationsställning (dhyanasana) på en lotustron. Mudra och attribut: Har händerna i meditationsgesten (dhyanamudra) och håller en vigvattenvas (kalasha). Skulpturen är gjuten i brons. Tron och dräkt har brännförgyllts och huden har kallförgyllts. Håret är mörkt och kronans insida är rödmålad. Skulpturern är fylld och försluten med en bottenplatta av mässing graverad med en korslagd vajra (vishvavajra). (AA) "Gudabild Amitayus." We went through one part after another, through street after street and in this way got a good idea of what could be purchased. Our collections increased rapidly, especially, by the addition of paintings and images. Many kinds of textiles, of different colours, mats and garments are necessary parts of the furnishing in a first-rate lama temple, and already from the beginning we attached great importance to this detail and succeded in obtaining exquisite things of which many emanated from the temples in Jehol."
