Den kinesiske pojken som hjälpte Bohlin hette Li enligt artikel Ethnos.The burial-place lies in a secluded part of the badlands away from the thoroughfares of the Mongols and therefore I considered it suitable to attempt an excavation there. I chose the last-mentioned grave as being easiest approachable, as I had only very little time to spare for this deviation from the regular program for my work. At the excavation I took care not to displace the stones visible above ground more than was absolutely necessary, and I did my best also to put back into their original position stones above or under ground, which had had to be moved. A skull taken out for photographing was replaced — the only things I took away from the grave was one abnormal molar and a pot-sherd.
