Nr: 202100-5075 KONSERVERINGSRAPPORT INVENTARIENUMMER: 1880.04.0141 OBJEKTSSPECIFIKATION SAKORD: Arrow DELAR/DELOBJEKT: MATERIAL: Wood, bone, ivory DIMENSIONER (mm): TILLSTÅNDSBEDÖMNING ELLER SKADEBESKRIVNING: Object was mounted to a display board as part of the Vaga exhibition in Kappsäcken. The arrow was tied tightly with fishing wire to the painted board for more than 20 years. During deinstallation it became clear that the arrow was adhered to the black paint at points of contact with the board. The arrow was carefully removed from the board with small pieces of black paint attached. UTFÖRD KONSERVERING: An attempt was made to mechanically delaminate the black paint from the surface of the ivory arrowhead. MATERIAL OCH METOD: The surface of the paint was mechanically reduced using a combination of scalpel and bamboo skewer. The remaining residue was solubilized with an 80/2o solution of ethanol in water and gently removed with a cotton swab.
