at Hagateatern in Göteborg 12 April - May 7 2011

A sentence doesn't end when you leave prison.

Having just begun to rebuild a life on the outside, Marie is confronted with her past when former cellmate Lorraine shows up unannounced at her doorstep. They used to share everything inside, but on the outside things seem different. The friendship that once protected them now threatens to smother the fragile freedom they have found.

This Wide Night is a witty and tender portrayal of two women trying to start again.

GEST are delighted to present This Wide Night, a play inspired by Chloë Moss' work with female prisoners at HMP Cookham Wood. This tender portrayal of friendship between two women was a huge success in it's native England and it is with great joy that GEST presents its Swedish premiere.

The play was first commissioned and presented by Clean Break at the Soho Theatre London

30 July 2008 and subsequently on tour in the UK. Performances in women's prisons in the UK took place from 29 September to 10 October 2008."
